I’m not much of a lipstick girl but I try finding shades which suit me. I find it hard to get a suitable shade for myself since I’ve never purchased it directly from any store. I’ve always bought them online either from renowned bloggers (after checking their reviews) or online stores. I went wrong choosing bad lipsticks initially and threw few and sold the remaining in my blog sales. But I got few good good lipsticks and lipcolors too. One of my favorites is L’Oreal Paris Shine Caresse Lipcolor In Shade Eve which I reviewed few days back. Another favorite lipstick is Lakme Enrich Satin Lipstick In P168 which I’m going to review now.

What Lakme Enrich Satin In P168 Claims:
“Steal the show with an intense, vibrant pout. The added goodness of olive oil and Vitamin E helps keep your lips feeling satin-smooth.”
My Experience With Lakme Enrich Satin In P168
Lakme Enrich Satin in P168 comes in a sturdy steel tube with a clear cap. The shade number can be seen below the tube and you can also see the shade through the clear cap easily. I think this is a good packaging but unfortunately the lipstick inside the tube is pretty weak. I dropped it once and it just broke. It’s important to keep lipstick safe.
Shade & Texture:
This one is not a matte lipstick since this makes lips look moisturized and dewy. I really like non-drying lipsticks and this one tops the list as of now. Talking about the shade, this one is the darkest of this shade range and is pinkish purple in color. When I saw it first time I got scared and thought if I can ever be able to wear it or not. But then I saw that it looks just so perfect and suited my skin toner perfectly. I got many compliments for this shade. One more thing I’d like to mention is that it may look completely different on different skin tones. My friend who has very fair skin tone wore it once and it just looked so natural and pinkish than purple on her.
Texture is very smooth that it glides well on the lips. It looks well moisturized and you don’t have to use lipbalm to moisturize your lips beneath it.
Pigmentation & Staying Power:
Now, let’s talk about its pigmentation which is a very important thing you should know. In a single word I’d say it’s just ‘perfect’. Swipe once and you’ll see your lips well covered with the deepest purple shade; I’m sure you won’t swipe again. In fact, I even don’t swipe it properly even once due to its dark shade. I just dab it over my lips. I’m not so comfortable with dark shades but since this one is pretty nice, I prefer dabbing it over my lips and then I pair it with my Maybelline Baby Lips which is a tinted lipbalm for the perfect look. However I’m showing you only the lipstick lip swatch in this image without any lipbalm over it.
This one is just a great job by Lakme. It stays on lips for 6-7 hours easily and if you’re eating anything the tint remains on the lips. I apply my lipbalm over it to keep it look the same. I even don’t reapply it. After reaching home back, I have to use makeup remover to get rid of the tint. Seriously, I’m in love with this one. I’m yet to try other shades from this range.
